Unlike social media networks, you don’t follow anyone. Newlife is about curation and empowering creators. New Power reflects how much others appreciate and curate you as a creator.
Unlike a like or a follow, power ups are quality-driven and often limited. You can’t power up everyone and your daily limit will later refresh. This is to help make the community focused on quality over mass attention fatigue, and creator-support over influence.
Every profile on Newlife also exists on a public blockchain for decentralisation and creator ownership. As we are launching the Newlife.IO web app in beta on the Newcoin Protocol Testnet, it’s your chance to play around and get to be confident with crypto staking, DAOs and NFTs. All of your activity in Testnet is exactly that—a test! You will have some Testnet tokens to experience the upcoming crypto features of Newlife.
Creator Pool Staking
If you really like a creator and want to access more of their content, you can “Stake” to join a creator’s pool. For the web3/crypto enthusiasts, you can learn more about Creator Pools here and here.
What does it mean? Creators can have their own token to build their community and content around. The “Private” Tab on your profile is where you will be able to hide content from others who have not staked on your pool. If you delete your profile on Newlife, you will still own your creator pool on the Newcoin Protocol.
Creator DAOs
If you would like to take your community one step close, Newlife.IO enables you to easily create your own DAO on the Newcoin Protocol. Anyone who would like to become a member of your DAO can apply to join your DAO and get accepted by the DAO owner or members.
